TEMPRA ACRYLIC EMULSION PAINT

Product Description:

TEMPRA ACRYLIC EMULSION PAINT is a matt water based emulsion based on styrene-acrylic copolymers with excellent coating and hiding power, providing a highly protective smooth finish for exterior and interior surfaces. Its high resin content, selected minerals and additives enhance its hydrophobic properties, however at the same time keeping the transpirability of the substrate thus enhancing easy loss by evaporation from the coated surface. Excellent washability.

Recommended Use:

Easy to apply, with an excellent spreading rate, and an adequate recoating interval to avoid overlapping defects. High resistance to micro-cracking of the construction material due to internal movement or thermal expansion. The product is ideal for both exterior and interior wall on all types of surfaces, such as masonry, brickwork, concrete etc., where a high quality and protective finish is demanded. Many colours are available from the TEMPRA MULTICOLOR BANK apart from the White and Magnolia standard colours.

Application Data:

Application Tools:
Conventional Spray, Brush, or Roller. USE ONLY WATER with a light detergent.

Cleaning Solvent:
USE ONLY WATER with a light detergent.

Tool Cleaning:
USE ONLY WATER. Cleaning operation must be done immediately after job has been terminated. Cleaning operation must be performed fast not to allow the highly adhering binders to dry. Once dry the product is very difficult to clean from the tool.

Guiding Data Airless Spray:

Pressure at nozzle:

15Mpa (150 kp/cm2, 2100 psi)

Nozzle tip: 0,021”
Spray angle:

65-80º

Surface Preperation:

New Surfaces:

Surfaces must be clean and dry, free from loose material and dust. In case of a porous surface, a first coat using TEMPRA ACRYLIC EMULSION PAINT diluted to not less than 50% (2:1) with WATER ONLY must be applied.

Old Surfaces:

All loose particles must be sanded down. Surfaces must be adequately degreased, washed with fresh water and allowed to dry.

Drying Time:

The drying times are measured according to BS 3900 Part C2 And BS 3900 Part C3. Drying times are generally related to air circulation, temperature, film thickness, and the number of coats applied and will be affected correspondingly due to a various number of variables. The figures given in the table are typical with:

  1. Good ventilation (Outdoor exposure or free air circulation).
  2. Recommended film thickness.
  3. One coat on top of an inert substrate.

2. Measured according to BS 3900 Part C3.
3. Recommended data given for recoating with same generic type of paint.
4. The surface should be dry and free from any contamination prior to application of the subsequent coat.

The given data should be considered as guidelines only. The actual drying time/ times before recoating may vary considerably and may be shorter or longer, depending on existing coating, generic type, film thickness, system chosen, no. of coats, ventilation, and temperature.

Storage:

Product must be stored in accordance with local regulations. Preferred storage conditions are in a cool dry place with adequate ventilation. The containers should be tightly sealed especially after use.

Handling:

Handle with care. STIR WELL BEFORE USE.
